Mike's Mighty Meat Sauce with Chili Peppers

Ingredients

• 1 small poblano pepper, chopped
• 3 serrano peppers, chopped
• 2 Anaheim pepper, chopped
• 8 asparagus tips, chopped
• 15-20 fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
• 12 ounces ground sausage
• 16 ounces tomato sauce
• 1 teaspoon olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Heat a sauce pan to medium heat and add olive oil.
Add peppers and asparagus tips. Stir and cook about 5 minutes.
Add sausage and coarsely chop in the pan. Cook about 10 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, minced garlic and chopped basil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes.
Serve over pasta!
