  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)

Preparation

Step 1

To make vinaigrette, combine balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard and honey. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while you whisk to emulsify. (We use our blender Bobby Flay style… it’s easier). If needed, add additional Dijon mustard or honey to taste.
It’s best to store this in a tinted glass container, in your refrigerator or wine fridge. Please keep in mind that olive oil is a heart healthy monounsaturated fat that can begin to solidify at cold temperatures (although this recipe is usually a-okay for me). If that occurs, simply let the dressing “rest” at room temperature for about 5 minutes prior to using it.
