Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 egg beaten
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 package frozen chopped spinach thawed and well drained
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 package French's or Lawry's spaghetti mix
  • tomato paste
  • 1/2 white wine
  • buttered noodles

Preparation

Step 1

Combine onion, egg, salt and pepper bread crumbs, ground beef, chopped spinach into 14-18 meatballs. Roll in flour mixed with paprika. Brown in 1/4 cup oil. Pour off excess.

Sauce: 1 package spaghetti mix as directed on back. Use tomato paste and also 1/2 water and 1/2 white wine. Add 1/2 teaspoon oregano. Pour over meatballs and simmer for about 45 minutes. Serve plain or over buttered noodles.
