Ingredients
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted, plus extra for pan
- 3/4 cup low-fat buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 15.25-oz box Pillsbury or Betty Crocker cake mix
- Glaze
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 1/2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Toppings such as nuts and sprinkles

Directions
1.Heat oven to 350 degrees and butter a 6-cup doughnut pan. Stir melted butter, buttermilk and eggs into cake mix. Transfer batter to a large resealable bag, snip off a corner and pipe molds half full.
2.Bake until doughnuts spring back when touched, 12 min. Cool slightly, then remove from pan to cool. Wipe out pan and repeat process with remaining batter.
3.While doughnuts cool, make glazes (see vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and peanut butter glaze links in notes). Ice the top half of each doughnut with glaze and sprinkle with various toppings.

1. Make basic cake mix doughnut recipe, cool. Combine all glaze ingredients. Tint with food coloring. Ice the top half of each doughnut with glaze and sprinkle with toppings of your choice.
