Ingredients

  • 1 pound 95% lean ground beef
  • 6 cups water
  • 14 1/2 ounce can stewed tomatoes, crushed, undrained
  • 1 medium yellow onion in thin wedges
  • 1 medium carrot, diced
  • 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen corn
  • 1 cup 1 inch pieces fresh green beans
  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
  • 3 ounces wagon wheel pasta

Preparation

Step 1

Coat 5 quart pot with non stick spray and sauté beef. Add all ingredients except corn, green beans, cabbage and pasta. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add corn and green beans and cook 10 minutes. Add cabbage and pasta and cook for about 10 minutes more or until the pasta is al dente.
