Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup chile sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 Tablespoons packed lite brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 20 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 20 2 1/2 inch strips of bacon

Step 1

In saucepan saute onion in butter until transparent (5-6 minutes). Add everything but shrimp and bacon. Heat until boiling, reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat. Soak shrimp in a bit of the sauce. Set aside 20 minutes. Wrap each shrimp in bacon. Broil 4 inches from element until bacon is crisp 3 to 4 minutes each side. warm reserved sauce and serve with shrimp.
