Ingredients
- 3 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 cup almonds, sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Steam the green beans for about 5 minutes. (The beans should still be crisp.) Run the beans under some cold water to stop them from cooking.
In a skillet over medium-heat, add the almonds and toast stirring every now and then until golden, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add the butter and thyme; cook for another 5 minutes. Add the cooked cooled green beans and stir well to combine. Cook until heated. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
