Ingredients

  • 1 C Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 C Sugar
  • 1/2 C Honey
  • 1/2 C Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 C Heavy Cream
  • 1 1/2 C Roasted Walnut pieces
  • 1 1/2 C Roasted Pecan pieces
  • 1 1/2 C Roasted Hazelnut pieces
  • 1 C Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 C Heavy Cream

Preparation

Step 1

Melt together the first four ingredients; bring to a soft boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and heavy cream. Combine all nuts in a large bowl. Pour mixture over nuts and fold.

Line a deep dish tart pan with your favorite pastry shell. Pour nut mixture into pan and press down with spatula to pack in nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Melt chocolate chips and heavy cream together until smooth. Spread over top of torte and chill.

Serve at room temperature with whipped cream if desired. Sprinkle with cocoa powder.
