Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 16 oz tomatoes
- 1 6 oz tomatoe paste
- dash of paprikia
- dash of salt
- dash of pepper
- splash of red wine
- 4-5 potatoes, parboiled and sliced
- several shakes of parmesan cheese
- Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash white pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1
Brown beef with onion and garlic. Drain any excess fat. Add tomaotes, tomatoe sauce, red wine, paprika, salt and pepper and bring to boil.
Pour into greased casserole dish. Layer with sliced potatoes.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
To make sauce. Make basic white sauce by mixing flour and butter. Then add milk slowly. Add salt, pepper and 1 cup of cheese and stir until smooth. Pour over potatoes and place in pre heated oven uncovered for 1 hr. Top with remaining cheese and place under broiler until bubbly and just beginning to brown.
