  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2/3 cup cold water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine or white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • Bias-sliced carrots (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1.Break noodles into pieces; reserve seasoning packet. Place noodles in 1-quart microwave-safe casserole. Add 1 cup warm water. Micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 2 to 3 minutes or until noodles are softened, stirring twice; drain.

2.For sauce, in small bowl combine seasoning packet, 2/3 cup cold water, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper. Set aside. In large skillet heat sesame and cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add broccoli; stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Stir sauce; add sauce and noodles to skillet. Cook and stir until bubbly; cook and stir 1 minute more.
