Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream tartat
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup currants
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cider vineger

Preparation

Step 1

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add currants. Mix milk and vinegar and add to dry ingredients stirring with a fork. Roll out and cut 2 inch rounds on floured board. 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
