Grandmother's Drop Sugar Cookie

Ingredients

• 2 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp lemon juice
• 1 c milk
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 c shortening
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 4 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, the dry ingredients and milk. Add lemon juice and vanilla. Drop on cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake for 8-10 min at 375.
