Holiday - Cowboy Coffee Cake

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
• 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 t salt (optional)
• 2/3 cups shortening (butter)
• 2 t Baking Powder
• 1/2 t soda
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 t cinnamon
• 1/2 t nutmeg
• 1/2 t allspice
• 1 cup sour milk (sour cream)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and save 1 1/2 cups of the first 4 ingredients for the topping.

Mix all together - stir soda into the milk before adding. Bake in greased 8 x 8 pan at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
