  • Cake:
  • Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Cake - mixed according to package instructions and baked in 4 thin layers.
  • Frosting:
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 heaping Tablespoon cocoa powder - more or less to tast

Preparation

Step 1

Bake cake layer and cool.
Mix all frosting ingredients until it thickens and turns glossy.
Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 tsp. butter.
Pour frosting over cake layers one at a time as you stack them on top of each other. Spread one layer and then add the next.
