Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce, low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Asian sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce like Sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons peeled & minced fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons red jalapeno or other fresh red hot chili, seeded & thinly sliced on diagonal

Preparation

Step 1

In small, non aluminum bowl whisk together vinegar, soy sauces, warm water, sugar, sesame oil and chili sauce until sugar dissolves. Stir in the ginger, garlic, and chili. Use immediately or cover & refrigerate for up to 2 days.
