- 18 oz (12 oz bag plus 1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temp
- A pinch of salt

Preparation
Step 1
Place chips in medium metal bowl. Bring cream to a boil in saucepan. Pour cream over chips, add butter and salt. Whisk until chips are melted and frosting is smooth and spreadable. Cool until barley warm before frosting cake, cupcakes, cookies, etc.
Note: if frosting cools completely and thickens, place it in the metal bowl over a pan of simmering water and whisk until smooth.
