Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Karo syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 24 cups popped popcorn

Step 1
Pop the popcorn. Put into a baking pan or roasting pan.
Preheat the oven at 250° F.
In a saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, Karo syrup, and salt over medium heat until smooth. Let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add the baking soda and vanilla. Pour over the popcorn and stir until the caramel is evenly covering the popcorn.
Cover and bake at 250° F for 1 hour or until light golden brown, stirring every 15 minutes. Do not overcook.
Allow to cool slightly and break apart the caramel popcorn.
