Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Water
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Tsp. Almond Extract
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1-1/2 Cups Icing Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1-1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp. Water

Preparation

Step 1

Cut butter into flour. Add water. Mix. Divide in half. Make into 12 X 3 rectangle on cookie sheet 3" apart. Heat butter and water to rolling boil. Stir in extract and flour. Stir until forms ball. Remove from heat. Add eggs. Beat until smooth and glossy. Spread on rectangles. Bake at 350 F until top is brown and crisp, about 1 hour.
For Glaze: Mix icing sugar, butter and, vanilla. Stir in
1-2 tbsp. water until desired consistency.
