These are also called funeral cookies by the Amish because they can be made up quickly to take to the grieving family.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 3 Tbs. Unsweetened Cocoa
- 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 3 Cups Quick Cooking Oats
- 1/2 Cup Pecans, coarsely chopped

Step 1
In a small saucepan over medium heat bring butter, milk, sugar and cocoa to a boil and cook for 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, salt and vanilla. Mix in oats and pecans. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper and allow the cookies to stand unrefrigerated for 1 hour. Store in airtight container with wax paper between layers.
