Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/3 c. whipping cream
- 1/4 c. soft butter
- 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour, add butter & cream. Chill 1 hour. Heat oven to 375. Roll dough 1/8" on lightly floured board. Cut into 1/2" rounds. Put on heavily sprinkled sugar wax paper, turning to coat both sides. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick in 4 places w/ fork. Bake 7-9 mins. or till slightly puffy. Put two cooled cookies together w/ filling:
Blend butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla. If desired, tint w/ food coloring.
