Ingredients
- 4 ozs. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 3 T. unsalted butter
- 1 T. light corn syrup
- Pinch of salt

Preparation
Step 1
Put the chopped chocolate in a heat proof medium bowl. Ina small saucepan, heat the cream with the butter, corn syrp and salt until hot but not boiling. Immediately pour the mixture over the chocolate. Let stand for 5 minutes. then whish until smooth. Let the frosting cool, whishing occasionally, until thick enough for dipping and glazing the cupcakes, about 30 mins. For frosting firm enough to spread, let stand 1 hour.
Frosting can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 3 days. Return to room temperature before using.
