Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 6 TB butter
- 6 slices bread, no crusts
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 tsp salt

Preparation
Step 1
Saute sausage until no longer pink, then drain. Melt butter and pour into 9x12 baking dish. Tear bread into small pieces and sprinkle evenly over butter. Sprinkle sausage over bread. Layer cheese over sausage. Beat eggs with half and half and salt til frothy, then pour over entire mixture.
Cover and chill for 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 for about 50 minutes or until set.
