Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (Hot or mild)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 med green pepper, chopped
  • 28 oz can whole tomatoes including juice, chopped
  • Two 27 oz cans of Bush's Chili beans
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Cook sausage, ground beef, onion, green peppers and garlic in large soup pot or dutch oven until sausage is browned and vegetables are tender; drain. Stir in tomatoes, beans, chili powder, cumin, salt and water. Cover and simmer about 45 minutes.

Serve with cornbread
