Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 TB baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter- softened (1 stick)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup plus 2 TB milk
- 1 TB pure vanilla extract
- 4 TB butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup natural cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line muffin pans with 18 cupcake papers, set aside. Sift flour,baking powder,salt and cinnamon into a large bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Spoon into the cupcake papers so they are half full. Bake 12-14 minutes or untl a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Frosting:
Put the softened butter into a bowl. Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa over the butter. Cream together on low speed. Gradually add the vanilla and milk and mix on medium until frosting is smooth. You may add more milk if you like a thinner frosting for spreading, but we found that this is a nice spreading consistency.
