Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 1/2 to 1 cup Cool Whip, optional
  • 1 (1 lb) container fresh strawberries
  • Graham cracker crumbs for garnish, optional

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and extract until smooth. Fold in the Cool Whip, if using. Spoon mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a medium star tip, or into a small ziptop bag. Chill for 1 hour.


Rinse and dry the strawberries; then cut straight across to remove stems. Quarter the strawberries from tip to stem end without cutting through stem end.


If using a ziploc bag, cut a bottom corner off one side. Pipe the cream cheese mixture into the strawberries. Chill until ready to serve then garnish with crumbs, if desired.
