Ingredients

  • 8 C cubed French bread
  • 2 C fresh asparagus cut in 1 in pieces
  • 1 C cubed fully cooked ham
  • 3/4 C shredded mozarella (try other cheeses too)
  • 6 egg whites
  • 3 eggs
  • mushrooms if desired
  • 1 1/2 C skim milk
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

- Combine bread, asparagus, ham, cheese, mushrooms, if using
- Whisk egg whites and whole eggs, milk, lemon juice, garlic powder
- Sir into bread mixture and combine well; pour into sprayed 13 X 9 pan
- Cover and bake at 375° for 25 min.; uncover and bake 10 min longer until knife inserted in center comes out clean
- Let stand 10 min. before serving
