Fruity Egg Nests

Ingredients

• 5 cups fruit-flavored multi-grain cereal rings (see Note)
• 2 cups colored miniature marshmallows
• 2 (6-ounce) packages white baking bars
• 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
• 3/4 cup jelly beans

Preparation

Step 1

Line a large baking sheet with waxed paper.

In a large bowl, toss together the cereal and marshmallows.

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt baking bars and shortening until smooth. Add to cereal mixture, stirring until completely coated.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto baking sheet. Press 2 to 3 jelly beans into center of each nest and allow to cool until firm. Serve, or place in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Notes:
Any type of colorful sweetened cereal can be used.
