Ingredients

  • 8 apples (about 3 pounds), peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 2 packages (10 ounces each) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Shells
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 3 cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

Stir the apples, cherries, sugar and lemon zest in a 4-quart slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or until the apples are tender.

Bake, cool and remove the "tops" of the pastry shells according to the package directions.

Beat the pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl with a whisk for about 2 minutes or until the mixture is thickened.

Divide the apple mixture among the pastry shells. Spoon the pudding mixture over the apple mixture.
