Ingredients
- 1 C non-fat dry milk powder
- 1 T dried onion flakes
- 2 T cornstarch
- 2 T chicken bouillon powder
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

Step 1
Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. To make soup base, add 2 C cold water to the mix in a large saucepan and stir constantly over medium heat until thick.
You can use this base to make any flavor "cream" soup. Just add your main ingredient to the mix - mushrooms, for example - and cook for a few minutes longer
If the soup is too thick, add more water and stir thoroughly, still over medium heat.
You can add other seasonings if you like. This makes about 4 to 6Cof soup, depending on what you add. I love it with onion flakes andd extra garlic salt, recipe donor's comment.
