- 3 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) cold butter in sm pieces
- 2 Tb poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp grated lemon peel
- 2 cups fresh blueberries

Step 1
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder & soda & salt in lg bowl. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs. Stir in poppy seeds. Whisk buttermilk, eggs, vanilla & lemon zest in sm bowl until blended. Stir into flour mixture until just moistened. Spread 1/2 the batter in floured/ oiled pan top w/ blueberries drop remaining batter on top in dollops. Bake at 350 degrees for. 33-36 min.
