Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 4 Tablespoon cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting:
- 1 stick butter
- 4 Tablespoon cocoa
- 6 Tablespoon milk
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cake:
Combine butter, shortening, cocoa and water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add flour, sugar, blending well. Stir in sour cream, eggs, salt, baking soda, and vanilla.
Pour into greased 15.5 x 10.5 Jelly Roll pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
While cake is baking, make frosting:
Combine butter, cocoa and milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Blend thoroughly. Spread on cake as soon as it is taken from the oven.
