Ingredients
- Lemon syrup:
- 14 Tb softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 lg eggs
- 1 cup + 2 Tb gluten free flour mix (& approp baking powder/ soda)
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- Peel & juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup conf. Sugar
- Zest & juice of 3 lemons
- Candied lemon:
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 thinly sliced lemons
- 1 cup water

Preparation
Step 1
Cake:
Mix cake ingredients in mixing bowl & mix bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
Lemon syrup:
Whisk together ingredients
Candied lemon:
Put sugar & water in saucepan. Heat to dissolve sugar, stirring. Add lemon slices in single layer. Simmer uncovered for 45 min., stir occasionally.
Take cake from oven & poke holes w/ fork. Soon syrup over cake. Cool cake completely & top w/ candied lemon slices w/o the liquid w/ candied lemon slices
