Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/3 cup salted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup firmly packed dark-brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Gradually beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture.
Pour into a greased 13- by 9-inch pan. Sprinkle chips on top of batter. Bake for 3 minutes.
Remove from oven and run a knife through at 2-inch intervals to marbleize. Bake for 30 minutes more, until they spring back to touch and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Yield: 4 dozen bars
