Ingredients
- 2 cups dry pinto beans
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 ½ lbs. lean ground beef
- 2 T. chili powder
- 1 T. salt
- 1 t. prepared minced garlic

Step 1
Place beans in large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to boiling, turn off heat and let stand 1 hour. Drain and transfer beans to large slow cooker. Add onion, chili powder, garlic, tomato sauce, salt and 8 cups water.
In skillet, brown ground beef, drain, and transfer to cooker. Cover, cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or until beans are tender and stir occasionally.
