Ingredients

  • Add the following per pound of meat used in meatball recipe:
  • Homemade meatball recipe (I use Papa Skinner's Italian Meatball recipe)
  • 1/2 Cup uncooked rice (may use slightly more)
  • Sauce:
  • 1 jar tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire

Step 1

Combine ingredients in meatball recipe with uncooked rice.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease casserole dish

In separate bowl, combine sauce ingredients.

Shape meatballs into 1-inch diameter balls. Create single layer of meatballs in bottom of greased casserole dish. Pour sauce mixture over meatballs to just cover.
Bake at 350 for 1-2 hours until rice is fully cooked and water is evaporated.
