Cracked Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1 cup unsalted butter
• 1 1/4 cups sugar
• 3 egg yolks
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350. line cookie sheets with parchment paper
2. Sift together dry ingredients
3. Beat butter and sugar till fluffy. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.
4. Gradually add flour in four parts till well blended
5. Shape dough into one inch balls
6. Bake for 12 minutes till light brown
9.Store in a conatiner with wax paper between layers
