Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
2 (3 oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding
1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 cup sugar
1 (8 oz.) tub of Cool Whip
chopped pecans, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar and pineapple; bring to a boil and cool. Prepare pudding as per box directions and chill. Prepare and bake cake as per box directions, using a 9x13” pan; cool. Poke holes all over the cake. Pour the pineapple/sugar liquid over cake. Spread pudding over cake. Spread Cool Whip over cake. Sprinkle chopped pecans, if desired. Chill well.
