Baked Beans - Sm. Crockpot/Oven Method

Ingredients
- Recipe for 1 1/2 Qt. Crockpot
- 1 cups dry cranberry beans
- 2 1/2 cups of water
- 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 1/2 cup pineapple pieces
- 1 1/2 cups catsup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp Tabasco
- 1 1/2 tspdry mustard
- 1 1/2 tsp dry curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Place beans in small crockpot add 1/8 tsp Baking Soda and water and cook on high for 4-5 hours (this is for high altitude 7000ft - lower elevation may take less time)
In a large pot, add the chopped bacon and cook until just crisp. Add in the onion and sauté until tender.
Add the rest of the ingredients and beans with a little of their liquid into the pot and bake for 3 1/2 hours at 350 degrees
or stir back into the crockpot and cook on low 8-10 hours
