Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 oz spahgetti cooked without oil or salt and well drained
  • 1 slightly beaten egg white
  • 1 1/2 oz grated Parmesian cheese
  • 1 T margarine
  • 2 slightly beaten egg whites
  • 1 C lower fat cottage cheese
  • 3 oz lean ground beef
  • 1 C lower fat prepared spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 oz shredded part skim mozarella

Preparation

Step 1

1. For crust mix egg white, Parmesian, amd margarine into hot cooked, spaghetti
2. Spray 9 in. deep dish pie pan and arrange spaghetti mixture on bottom and up sides of pan
3. Stir remaining egg whites and cottage cheese; Spread over crust; sprinkle ground beef over
4. Spoon spaghetti sauce over top; bake at 350° or 20 min; sprinkle with mozarella and bake until melted - about 5 min; let stand 5 min before cutting into wedges.

To Microwave
1. Prepare "crust" as above; microwave uncovered for 3 min until crust is set
2. Spoon in cottage cheese mixture; top with ground beef and sauce; microwave covered with waxed paper for 6 - 7 min until hot
3. Top with mozarella and let sand 8 - 10 min. before serving.
