Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 onion diced
- 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- 3 cans consomme(6 cups broth works too)
- 1 can tomato soup
- 4 carrots - diced or sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- parsley
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- pepper to taste
- 8 tbsp. barley

Step 1
Brown the beef and onions. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer until barley is cooked (for about 1 1/2 hours.
