- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp minced parsley fresh (fresh is best but I rarely have it so I use 1 Tbsp dried.)
- Parmesan cheese

Preparation
Step 1
I soften the butter in the microwave and did it a little too long. I usually like it more spreadable. Anyway, mince the garlic into the butter. If you do not have a garlic mincer you can do it with a knife on a cutting board. Simply remove the outside skin and chop very finely.
Mix butter, garlic and parsley in a small bowl.
Split the loaf of bread in half length-wise. Place on a baking sheet. I use my trusty (and obviously well-used) pizza stone.
Spread butter mixture onto both halves of the bread.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
Change the oven setting to broil. Move the rack up to the highest level. Place the garlic bread under the broiler for about 4 to 6 inches from the heat for about 2 minutes. Cheese should be bubbly and beginning to brown. Be very careful not to burn it. Broiling goes quickly. I have burnt the edges of many loaves of garlic bread by not paying close enough attention.
