  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 7 oz finely chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1.5 oz creme fraiche
  • 9 " pastry shell

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Lightly whip egg yolk with the creme fraiche and set aside.

3. Bring milk to a boil, stirring continuously.

4. Turn off heat and add chocolate to milk. Stir mixture until chocolate is completely melted.

5. Slowly add egg and creme fraiche mixture to chocolate and stir until thoroughly mixed.

6. Place chocolate mix in pastry shell and place in preheated oven for 25 minutes.

7. Remove tart and cool to room temperature.

8. Chill in refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
