- The Crust
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour
- The Toppings
- 1 cup pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- pizza toppings, as desired
- cornmeal, for dusting pizza peel

Preparation
Step 1
%{color: red}Preheat oven and Baking Stone to 450F, up to 30 minutes for a crispier crust.%
* Place yeast into the bowl of an electric mixer, with dough hook attached.
* Add water and sugar; stir to combine.
* Proof yeast for 5 minutes, or until foamy.
* Stir in salt, olive oil and 1 cup of flour.
* Add an additional 1 1/2 to 2 cups flour, mixing until dough forms into a ball.
* Cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour.
* Punch down; divide in half.
* Pat dough into a round a little smaller than the baking stone.
* Sprinkle Pizza Peel with a little cornmeal. Gently slide peel under prepared pizza dough.
* Add sauce, and desired toppings.
