Rich Roll Cookies

Ingredients

• Cream: 1 cup butter, 2/3 cup sugar
• Beat in: 1 egg
• Combine and Add: 2 1/2 cups sifted flour, 1/2 teasp. salt,1 teas[ vanilla
• Chill dough 3-4 hours before rolling

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Roll out dough small amount at a time on well floured pastry cloth to 1/8" thickness. Cut out circles with cookie cutter. Make a cednter hole in half the cookies

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 mins. When cooled spread jelly on solid half of cookies and add top with hole Dab more jam in center hole. Sprinkle with sifted confectioner's sugar. Let sit overnight before storing.
