  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c cocoa
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 oz red food color
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 2 T sour cream
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 16 oz conf sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. mix flour, cocoa, soda and salt in med bowl. Set aside. Beat butter and sugar in lg bowl on med speed for 5 min til light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in sour cream, milk, food color and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mix on low speed til just blended. Do not overmix. apoon batter into muffin cups, filling 2/3 full. Bake 20 min, use toothpick test. Cool. Frost.
Frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter, sour cream and vanilla til light and fluffy. Gradually beat in conf sugar til smooth.
