Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teasp baking soda
  • 1 teasp ginger
  • 1 teasp cinnamon
  • 1 teasp cloves, ground
  • 1/4 teasp salt
  • 1 cup butter 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup molasses

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour and baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and salt together. Put aside.
Put butter and sugar into large bowl. Heat molasses to boiling. Pour over butter and sugar. Add vinegar. Let cool. Add beaten eggs and blend. Add flour mixture gradually. Cover bowl tightly. Chill overnight. Roll out 1/8" thickness Bake375 degrees on lightly greased cookie sheet 4-6 mins.
