Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 2-1/2 c flour
  • 1-1/2 c sugar
  • 2 tsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 1/4 c red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 lb powdr'd sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1/2 tsp van
  • 1 c chop'd nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Blend all dry ingredients, Blend oil into beaten eggs and add to dry mixture; beat until smooth, Blend buttermilk, food coloring & vanilla into batter. Pour into 3 greased & floured 8 in cake pans. Bake @ 350° for 30 min. Cool & remove from pans. Mix icing ingredients until light & fluffy. Frost & fill cake.
