Ingredients
- 1 Cup butter, softened
- 1 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2/3 Cup sugar
- 2 Tsp vanilla
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 4 Eggs
- 2 Cups flour
- 12oz Package chocolate chips
- Frosting
- 3/4 Cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 Cups xxx sugar, sifted
- 2 Tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Grease 15.5x10.5x1" baking pan, line with wax paper
Cream butter, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and salt
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
Gradually add flour
Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips
Spread into prepared pan, bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes; cool completely
Loosen sides of cake, invert onto lightly floured cloth, peel off wax paper
Cut cake into 4 even sections
Spread 3 Tbsp of frosting on one layer of cake, top with 2nd layer
Repeat layers and frost with remaining frosting
Frosting
Melt chocolate chips over hot (not boiling) water, stir until smooth; set aside
In bowl, cream butter and xxx sugar, add melted chocolate and vanilla
Blend until smooth
