Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 oz) uncooked chicken breast strips for stir-fry
  • 1 pouch (9 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy three cheese cooking sauce
  • 1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
  • Hot cooked pasta or rice, if desired

Preparation

Step 1

1 Heat 1 tablespoon oil in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken in oil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink in center. Drain if necessary.

2 Add cooking sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper; heat to boiling. Stir in broccoli; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered about 5 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Remove from heat.

3 Stir in 1 cup of the cheese until melted. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover; let stand 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with pasta.

Substitute shredded Monterey Jack cheese for the Cheddar.
