Holiday Gift Cake

Ingredients

• 8 oz Cream cheese
• 1 Cup margarine (2 sticks)
• 1 1/2 Cups sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 4 Eggs
• 2 1/4 Cups flour
• 1 1/2 Tsp baking powder
• 8oz Jar drained, chopped maraschino cherries
• 1/2 Cup chopped pecans
• 1 1/2 Cups xxx sugar, sifted
• 2 Tbsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

Blend soft cream cheese, margarine, sugar, and vanilla
Add eggs one at a time, mix well
Gradually add 2 cups flour and baking powder
Combine 1/4 cup flour with cherries and pecans, fold into batter
Grease loaf pans (2), bake and cool 5 minutes and remove
Glaze with 1 1/2 cups sifted xxx sugar; 2 tbsp milk
Drizzle over top and sides of cake
Decorate with whole pecans and cherries
